The Beatles on Juke Box Jury
All four Beatles appeared on the panel of the popular BBC show “Juke Box Jury” on December 7, 1963. The special edition of the BBC television series was filmed on stage at the Empire Theatre, Liverpool and was hosted by David Jacobs.
The Beatles were asked to judge 10 newly-released singles. Each of them would comment on each song and predict whether it would be a HIT or a MISS. And time proved they were remarkably accurate in their predictions.
Sadly, no copy of The Beatles appearance on the programme is known to exist as the BBC destroyed a great deal of their programmes recorded in the 1960s.
